When new Pearler accounts are opened we automatically have your dividends paid into Pearler. You can opt-in in settings to have dividends paid into your autoinvest share account if you wish.

Hi Pearler team,
Still new to this platform and trying to find out where everything is. Have there been any updates to this? Would be keen to know where dividends are initially put as default and where/how a user can move them around.
Thanks!

We're working hard on this, just going through some final stages of testing.

Would be great to have Pearler be able to issue instructions to the registrar of where to deposit dividends - which is something CommSec already does etc.

Kurt Walkom I wonder if it's possible to achieve a similar thing by doing the following:
- Have the share registry deposit dividends into the same bank our autoinvest payments comes out of.
- Pearler calculates or sees the dollar amount of dividends that got paid out to that account
- Next time an autoinvest transactions is made, Pearler adds that amount on top and also direct debits it alongside the regular payment.
That way our dividends are reinvested in a similar way to DRP. But without all the capital gains cost basis headaches.
I planned to just manually deposit the dividends into Pearler every quarter. But if there's a way to automate that process it would be fantastic. 👍

Pealer doesn't co controll or payout dividends? The share registry does that?

Peter Nguyen: I think they mean having the dividends paid directly in to your Pearler cash account by the registry. I do this with SelfWealth. But Pearler handles accounts differently so they can do AutoInvest which means we don’t have a BSB and account number.
