I have just decided to start investing in ESGI instead of VEU & VTS for my international allocation going forward.
To clarify - I am not going to sell any VEU & VTS because that would be extremely tax inefficient, but what I want to do instead is invest any new funds in my international allocation into ESGI.
Previously my target portfolio was 20% VEU & 20% VTS, so now I want it to be 40% ESGI, but to count my VEU & VTS assets towards my target allocation for ESGI.
Alternatively, perhaps it would be possible to go one level up & have an "International" target & an "Australia" target, and then assign individual securities under that?
Personally, I've currently got "Australian", "Australian Geared", "International" and "International Geared" targets, which all my assets fall into & represent my broader FI strategy.

This would help me a lot. I have had to stop using Autoinvest, one of the key reasons I like Pearler. I have chosen to buy different Australian and International ETFs that are similar to the existing ones I hold. I don’t want to sell existing (tax event). I want to be able to bucket existing with new together in a portfolio allocation %, and have Autoinvest buy just the new/active one from that bucket. I also like the idea of using tagging for making these buckets for portfolio allocation as that would make it very flexible.

This would help me as well. I previously was purchasing VAS but have migrated to AQLT as I like the quality tilt of this ETF. If I set AQLT to 30%, it doesn't take into account my previous VAS holdings and then I end up being overweighted to Australia. I don't want to sell off my VAS holdings as I will realise the capital gains. I think if there was a bucketing feature to set percentage allocations per bucket, and then by individual asset would be useful. The tags feature that Robert has mentioned could also achieve the same result.

Another simpler example would be switching new purchases from VAS to A200 or VGS to BGBL for the lower fees but still wanting to include the existing purchases in the percentages. It doesn't seem like you can effectively still use Autoinvest if you do this unless you sell all the old ETFs. I do like the suggestion of tagging stocks with labels like "International" and setting percentages on that.

Any updates on this feature? I think auto investing would be so much better if this could be implemented.
