Sub-portfolios

It would be useful to be able to have multiple portfolios for various strategies and be able to distribute investment into them by our top-level ratios.
This is somewhat similar to what other users have requested in terms of "Groups".
The current portfolio / auto-invest tools are really only useful for people selecting a few funds and only using a single ETF for each strategy.
For example, I might want to allocate 50% to ethical investments, but select more than one ethical ETF with their own ratios within that strategy.
Alternately, I might want to invest in a selection of direct stocks as 10% of my overall strategy. Or these direct stocks may be recommendations from an advisory service like Motley Fool that we add to over time.
Some flexibility with allocating auto-invest ratios for these would be useful too.
Another use-case might be to follow another user's strategy, but only for 30% of my portfolio for instance.

This is now possible - sort of! Instead of sub portfolios, you're able to create as many target portfolios as you'd like on your dashboard since on the dashboard you can have as many sections as you'd like, and each section can have it's own targets. If you have any more questions you can reach out to our team at help@pearler.com

Multiple Asset Categories / Target Portfolios
Alex Moore
I think it would be really cool to be able to categorize investments as either core or satellite investments within the one investment portfolio. At current we can only include or exclude assets from total net weath. It would be great to be able to have a breakdown of performance for both core and satellite investment categories, and an overall breakdown of performance by total portfolio (net wealth). It would also be great to have the ability to set separate targets for core and satelite investments, and an overall target for the total portfolio (percentage split between core vs satellite). Thanks!

Be able to split your portfolio into 2 parts core and satellite.

Would be good if you could split your portfolio into 2 parts core and satellite both with percentages.

Multiple portfolios under one HIN

Multiple portfolios with different strategies. One for the core of the portfolio (stocks, ETFs and bonds, etc) alongside another portfolio with a different strategy with individual stocks (perhaps small-cap if that is ones strategy), maybe options (although I understand this is unlikely). Multiple portfolios under one HIN. Just a better way to separate strategies within different segments of the US and AUS market

Different Portfolios within the one brokerage account

I know this might be a bit niche but we invest via a discretionary trust and would like to keep some shares/ETFs separated into different portfolios in the one account - the reason is that we would like to purchase VDHG for our kids within our discretionary trust brokerage account but keep 2 seperate parcels so we know who’s ETFs belong to who - I saw the recent fireside chat around kids investing and saw you will have this ability to seperate by child under the one account so wondering if this could be extended to other brokerage account types too?

Note that since asking this, I've realised that each time you invest into a portfolio you're potentially incurring a $9.50 fee for each stock/ETF (aside from free ETFs).. I thought they were bulk traded.
So this kind of grouping or sub-portfolios would work great for free ETFs, but for anything else, having more than a few items in a portfolio is going to quickly eat up your money in trade fees.
Unless Pearler can figure out a new business model and abolish trade fees (that would make it very powerful!)
